Hi Friend! Thanks for showing up. This is my second homemade radio page. The first is my homemade crystal set page. I got so excited about this homebrew project, I decided to make some tube sets too.

I would like to tell you a little about my background. My interest in radio goes back to around 1955 when I was 5 years old. My dad used to repair radios before I was around. Luckily he got into something that actually paid real money. Luckily too, he kept all the old radio stuff. I started soldering and fiddling before I was 10 years old. My dad had earned his Amateur Radio license, and I tagged along. I learned a lot.

For the next 25 years, I put together many projects, tube and semiconductor. I earned my Novice ham ticket in 1965. This only accelerated the building. I was a nerd before it was popular. I just sat in my cellar and played with my Weller as someone once said.

I built quite a few crystal radios, but never any regenerative radios. These pages will describe the regen sets that I am working on. I do these pages in near real-time. If I am waiting for parts to come on or the shellac to dry, I pop into the computer room and type a few lines of code.
